The Crooked Oil Association, Part Four (Superman EP0251)|Superhero Audio Drama

In the fourth part of 'The Crooked Oil Association,' Superman continues his mission to protect Tumbleweed Jones' oil shipments from sabotage. After Clark Kent uncovers Chuck Connors plotting to destroy the oil trucks via a rigged balancing rock, Superman intervenes just in time to stop the boulder from crushing the convoy. Meanwhile, Jimmy Olsen is kidnapped by Connors, who ties him to a wild Mustang and sends him galloping toward a cliff. Superman rescues Jimmy mid-fall, saving both him and the boy's life. Back at the ranch, tensions rise as Tumbleweed reveals the rock was destroyed and Superman saved them—though Jimmy struggles to believe it. Simultaneously, Abner Chaney, president of the Lost Valley Bank and rival oil pipeline owner, plots to ruin Tumbleweed by exposing a legal loophole: Comanche Joe never formally transferred ownership of the ranch, leaving Tumbleweed vulnerable to fraud charges. Chaney plans to have Comanche Joe kidnapped to prevent him from proving ownership, setting up a dramatic showdown. With Tumbleweed facing arrest and Superman's identity still a secret, the stage is set for a climactic confrontation in the next episode.
