Navigating a treacherous tunnel guarded by a sleeping bear—revealed to be a magical guardian—he eventually reaches a cavern beneath an orchard where the enchanted magic horn is hidden. With the help of a blessing from a blue bottle, he frees the horn from the roots of the trees. Returning to the orchard under the full moon, Billy blows the horn, breaking the curse that had transformed Princess Aoife into a white hare. She is restored to human form, and her sister, Great Aunt Anne, finally finds peace after centuries of guilt and aging. The story concludes with a joyful reunion, the restoration of both sisters, and the release of Anne’s spirit as a black hare, symbolizing freedom.
